À travers sa démarche artistique, Adrian Fernandez Garcia (*1991, Genève) explore les objets techniques, leur fonction et leur impact dans notre société. Il interroge l’interdépendance entre l’humain et la machine, en s’inspirant notamment du folklore ouvrier pour extraire et détourner les éléments constitutifs de l’objet utilitaire.
Son travail a été présenté dans plusieurs expositions en Suisse, tant en solo qu’en collectif. La nature expérimentale de sa pratique le conduit fréquemment à investir de nouveaux territoires, notamment à travers des résidences pour compositeur·rice·x·s de musique ou dans le cadre de commandes dans l’espace publique. Il intervient également en tant que coordinateur de projets artistiques, en invitant d’autres artistes à s’exprimer dans des contextes de travail définis.

Through his artistic approach, Adrian Fernandez Garcia (*1991, Geneva) explores technical objects, their function and their impact on our society. He examines the interdependence between humans and machines, drawing inspiration from working-class folklore to extract and divert the constitutive elements of utilitarian objects.
His work has been shown in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland. The experimental nature of his practice frequently leads him to explore new territories, notably through residencies for music composers or as part of commissions in public spaces. He also acts as a coordinator of artistic projects, inviting other artists to express themselves in defined working contexts.
